The main goal of ENGINE is to develop a system for designing and manufacturing metal products that will be FTR -First Time Right and therefore zero defects, and then present this to the marine engine industry. The ambition of the ENGINE consortium is to increase the competitiveness of the industry and especially of SMEs, to reduce manufacturing defects and waste, to create new business prospects and to improve the welfare of employees.

The main objective of ENGINE is to develop a first-time-right (FTR) and zero-defect metal product design and manufacturing system, then demonstrate it on marine engine supply-chain. Our ambition is to increase competitiveness of industry and SMEs, reduce manufacturing defects and waste, create new business cases, and improve employee well-being.
