Grant Scheme for investments in the aquaculture sector

RTD Talos undertakes the support of businesses involved in freshwater aquaculture or marine aquaculture, for submitting an application to the “Grant Scheme for investments in the aquaculture sector”, of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research.

Budget & Funding

The minimum eligible budget is €10,000 for freshwater aquaculture and €50,000 for marine. The maximum budget is €100,000 and €500,000 respectively, while for investments in animal health and welfare it can be increased to €120,000 and €600,000. The funding rate is 60%, with a maximum grant amount of €60,000 for freshwater aquaculture or €300,000 for marine aquaculture, and up to €72,000 or €360,000 if it concerns investments to improve welfare.

Eligible costs for increasing production and modernizing aquaculture units

Eligible costs relate to the following categories:
A. Equipment and machinery
B. New buildings and new production facilities
C. Existing buildings and production facilities.
