Alexandros Kinanis is a professional with a Master of Physics (MPhys) in Quantum Optics, awarded with First Class Honours and Distinction from the University of Strathclyde, where he graduated top of his class. His master’s thesis, “Quantum Interference and Boson Sampler Verification,” focused on advanced computational modelling and simulations for quantum systems, building a strong foundation in algorithm design and complex problem-solving. He also completed competitive research internships at the University of Strathclyde, where he developed theoretical and computational tools for photonic systems and neural dynamics simulations.
Alexandros has extensive experience leading complex software development projects that integrate mathematical modelling, large-scale simulation, and data-driven optimization. From 2020 to 2025, he worked at Qfin Ltd (PwC UK contractor), where he designed, implemented, and optimized large-scale Python-based systems for valuation, stochastic modelling, and portfolio risk analysis. As of September 2025, he has joined RTD Talos as the Software Development Team Director within the Department of Technological Development.
Fluent in English and Greek, with working knowledge of French, Alexandros combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, driving innovation in software systems that bridge research and industry needs.
