Το τελικό πρόγραμμα του FASTER

Η τελική δομή του διδακτικού προγράμματος FASTER- Training for Fast Growing Entrepreneurs, έχει εγκριθεί. Το πρωταρχικό πρόγραμμα ISTUD Entrepreneurship Programme, το οποίο έχει τεθεί σε επιτυχή εφαρμογή στην Ιταλία, έχει τροποποιηθεί για να ικανοποιήσει τις τοπικές ανάγκες, οι οποίες έχουν μελετηθεί διεξοδικά στα πλαίσια του έργου FASTER.

Πιλοτικά, θα δοκιμαστεί μια θεματική ενότητα του προγράμματος μέχρι και το τέλος του Αυγούστου 2010. Η κάθε θεματική ενότητα αποτελείται από 6 ώρες παράδοσης την εβδομάδα, κατά τις οποίες οι συμμετέχοντες, εκτός από διδακτικό υλικό θα μπορούν να παρακολουθούν διαλέξεις επιτυχημένων παραδειγμάτων επιχειρηματικότητας, καλές πρακτικές, επισκέψεις σε επιχειρήσεις κτλ.

Objectives of the course
The course aims at company creation, therefore it will support trainees in:
 
  • Raising awareness and provide a first operative entrepreneurial training (technique and networking, ability to create etc.)
  • Conceiving and developing a business plan and acquiring tools and techniques required for its implementation
  • Developing the ability in finding and selecting the suitable financing sources- debt or equity
  • Effectively presenting this idea to potential investors
  • Developing multi-level knowledge in terms of main managing techniques of the several functional areas of the enterprise having understood the close interrelationship among them
  • Developing the capability to constantly interact with all the actors involved- competitors, institutions, job market, in order to create relationship adding value to the business

PART Ia- Entrepreneurial profiles and relevant aspects of Small Businesses  

Week 1

  • SMEs peculiarities and organizational models
  • The role of the entrepreneur- form the business idea to work organization
  • Networking and network strategies at the local level
  • Evolution in a global environment- networking globally

PART Ib- Innovation and R&D

Week 2

  • Knowledge intensive enterprise’s creation and management
  • Valorization and exploitation of R&D results
  • Innovation
  • Intellectual Property

Part II- Business Planning

Week 3 & 4

  • Definition of the business idea
  • Business plan as a tool for managing and monitoring company’s performance

PART III- Economics and Finance

Week 5 and 6

  • Basics of finance and accountancy
  • How to finance your business: Raising capital informal investment modality (venture capital and private equity)
  • The economic component of the business plan- financial planning and financial monitoring
  • Costs and Investments evaluation

Part IV- Basics of Strategy and Marketing

Week 7 & 8

  • Basic concept of strategy, decision making, simulation of the start up of a new enterprise
  • Marketing management process for SMEs, planning, market analysis and sale forecast, elaborating the marketing plan
  • Concepts of successful market entry
  • Competition- mainly national

PART V- Leadership, human resource management and ‘soft skills’

Week 9 & 10

  • Leadership and team building

Duration/articulation

12 weeks

The class-based activities will be held as follow:

1 session per 2 hours per week

1 session per 4 hours per week

for a total of 72 hours

Classes will be delivered on fixed routines, to be decided by the participants and trainer. Sessions which involve guest speakers or external visits can be arranged in accordance with speaker/participants’ schedule.             

Teaching methods

Mix of classroom lecturers, case studies, project works, role playing,   testimonials (e.g. succesfull entrepreneurs) and personal mentoring.
