"Development of the Siler and Goldsmithing Industry Reference Model" The Silver & Goldsmithing Industry consists mainly of Small and Medium Enterprises with different roles in the supply chain of the sector. A large number of the companies maintain relationships of strategic importance with other companies in the same sector, something which makes their flawless integration a very important issue. Moreover, the specific aspects of the sector and the unique functions of the companies introduce additional complexity in the pattern of their operation. The project intends to formulate a Silver & Goldsmithing Industry Reference Model along with industry-specific functional specifications. The outputs of the project can be the basis for future research in the domain and can facilitate the adoption of Information Society applications by companies of the sector and their continuous improvement. By mapping the processes currently used in the Silver & Goldsmithing Industry, not only the specification of appropriate reference models will be possible but also the generation of functional specifications which can support the decision making in this sector. The methodology for the completion of the project includes activities such as literature review, enterprise modeling and sector research, selection of reference model architecture, methodologies and tools and development of functional specifications and integrated information system based on the industry reference model.
