Presentation of Programs of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism in the area of Marathasa

In the 19th of April 2008, at 1000 am RTD Talos in cooperation with Marathasa Development Organization, presented to the residents of the area of Marathasa the below financing schemes which are being implemented under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism:

1. Youth’s and Women’s Entrepreneurship Scheme
The aim of these programmes is to develop, support and encourage the entrepreneurship of young people, men and women, between the ages of 20 – 39 as well as women from 18 – 55 years old, who wish to engage in the sectors of manufacturing and/or in specific activities in commerce, services and tourism.

2. Programme of the Rural Development 2007-2013, Measure 1.6
Creation and development of manufacturing and trading facilities for agricultural and forestry products.

After the presentation, various questions and issues were discussed with the participants. The meeting was held at Kalopanayiotis village.

It is worthy to mention that an agreement was made between RTD Talos and Marathasa Development Organization regarding the support from our Organization in terms of applying as well as coordinating various development plans which are planed to be developed in the area, in personal level (residents) as well as in the level of the participation of the Communities as well as the Marathasa Development Organization itself.
