"Mapping and foresight of agricultural & food research capacity in the New Member States and in the Applicant Countries" Specific Support Actions, 6th Framework Programme Contract: 22801 - AGRIMAPPING www.europartnersearch.net/eu-agri-mapping The overall objective of the project is to provide recommendations on the developments that would be desirable in agricultural and food research in Europe. The project will provide: 1) A database with statistical data on the research establishments from the New Member States (NMS) and the Acceding and Candidate Countries (ACC) involved in agricultural and food research. 2) A mapping report identifying the main players in agricultural research using the results of the survey realised in the EU-14, a synthesis of the existing literature, studies and databases in the EU-15 and bibliometric indicators in the EU-29. 3) A consolidated report on the trends and the needs in terms of agricultural & food research topics. 4) A consolidated report identifying gaps between the needs and the current activities & resources of the European research establishments as well as a position paper that formulates recommendations on the developments that would be desirable to support the development of the research potential by 2020.
